Accountant (Remote)

Our finance delivery team keeps the books for small and mid sized companies in Europe, the Gulf and North America. We are hiring an accountant to take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, working remotely with the rest of the team.

What you will do

• Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries for your client portfolio.
• Perform bank, supplier and intercompany reconciliations.
• Run accounts payable and receivable cycles and chase outstanding items.
• Prepare month end close files and management reports to an agreed timetable.
• Support VAT and statutory filing preparation with the client’s local advisers.

What we are looking for

• Degree in accounting or finance. A professional qualification, or study towards one, is an advantage.
• Three or more years in bookkeeping or general accounting, ideally across more than one company.
• Hands on experience with at least one accounting package such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or Odoo.
• Strong Excel skills and a methodical approach to reconciliations.
• Professional written English for direct client correspondence.
